The Banquet of the Sports Awards will be on Tuesday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.
If your child remained eligible and completed the season with their team, join us and bring a dessert to share.

Does Your Student Have Fines?
Fine Notices
The end of the year is fast approaching and many households have already received a fine notice in the mail. The fine can be for lost items including library books, textbooks, classroom reading books, calculators, or classroom supplies. It could also be for Shady Creek Outdoor Camp or an overdrawn cafeteria account. If you have any questions about a fine, please contact the main office at 846-5594.
Library
We are in the process of collecting overdue library book, so please remind your student(s) to bring any library books they have at home back to school. There will be a collection basket in the cafeteria. All library books are now past due and a fine will be issued for those not returned by the end of the school year.
Classroom Notices
Fines for textbooks and lost classroom items will be available the last week of school after books have been checked in by our teachers.
Payment Deadline
Fines for all eighth grade students must be paid by the end of the school day on Wednesday, June 13, in order to participate in the graduation ceremony. If you have any questions about fines, please call Mrs. Smiley at 846-5594.

Cafeteria Accounts-End of Year
In order to close out our cafeteria accounts by the last day of school, there will be no charges allowed on accounts beginning Monday, June 11. Please be sure there is enough in your child’s account for them to eat the last week of school. The balance due on overdrawn accounts must be paid by the last day of school, Wednesday, June 13. If you have a balance left in your account after the last day of school, you may request to have the amount refunded to you or leave it in your account for the next year. We are always happy to look up your current balance if you are unsure about how much is in your prepaid account.

After School Program
Applications for the 2018/2019 school year are available now, in Room 1, afterschool. The cost is $30 per person or $80 for families of 3 or more. They accept CASH only!

An activity has been planned for June 8th right after school until 5:00 p.m. To contribute to our fun day please bring corn chips & salsa, watermelon, or other fruits and veggies. We burn a lot of calories out in the sun.
The last day of ASP is June 13th.

Tdap Booster Shot Required to Enter 7th Grade
State law requires that all incoming 7th graders get a whooping cough booster shot, called Tdap, before entering school. Students who have not received this booster shot prior to the beginning of the school year will not be allowed to attend school. Pertussis, also known as whooping cough, is widespread throughout California. This vaccine can help keep your child and family protected.
The California Health and Safety Code requires the immunization to protect all students against a serious childhood disease. The immunization may be given by your family doctor, pediatrician or clinic/pharmacy staff.
You must obtain the immunization and bring proof that the immunization was obtained before the first day of school on August 28, 2018. The new law states that if proof of immunization is not received before the first day of school your child will not be allowed to come to school. (There is no grace period for this immunization.) NO SHOT, NO SCHOOL. Exceptions to this law include exemptions based upon medical reasons.
Please bring your child’s shot record to the school as soon as the immunization is obtained.
