Child's Play? Not Even a Little!
The fifth grade PEN students recently participated in a forum to help generate ideas for a proposed playground that will be built in Warrington. The facilitators (from the township) were very impressed by their creative and practical ideas; especially, how the students wanted to incorporate the existing nature into the design. The students were invited to attend a Warrington Board of Supervisors meeting on December 13th.
Michael Finlaw attended the meeting. He was asked to get up and speak to the Board of Supervisors and citizens in the audience about the playground. He delivered an excellent presentation of his ideas for the playground and those of his friends. Being asked to speak came as a complete surprise to Michael. He rose to the challenge to the delight of all in the room. Michael also got to meet and speak with Representative Watson about this project. Thank you to Michael and all of the fifth grade Pen students for their work on this project.

Spirit Wear Is In!!!
Save the Date - Night of Service: Sock Roll Challenge
Who? Titus students and families
What? A “Sock Roll” is a pair of men’s athletic /crew socks that is rolled with a granola bar and a pack of crackers and finished off with a ribbon and a tag from our students.
Where? Titus Elementary Dining Room
Why? Socks tend to be the number one requested item by individuals experiencing homelessness. This project brings warmth, some comfort and nourishment for those in need. This is also a wonderful opportunity to teach our children the importance of helping others and ‘giving back’ to our community.
When? Thursday, January 19th at 6:30 PM
In an effort to collect items before the January 19th event, we are asking your child/children to bring their items to school beginning, January 3, 2017. All donations will be dropped off in the rotunda
- Grades K – 2 will be collecting cheese crackers
- Grades 3 – 4 will be collecting granola bars
- Grades 5 – 6 will be collecting adult men’s crew socks
Any questions or if you would like to help out with this event. Please contact Mrs. Patty Van Zanten Thank you for your support in this cause.
