Introduction
Benjamin Franklin was a very interesting man. He grew up in a non wealthy family. Ben was a very impotant part of the Revolutionary War, he had a huge task in it. He was also a very good scientist. He did crazy things with science. Benjamin Franklin started off working in his Dad's shop and ended up being a important part of history.
Early Life
Benjamin Franklin grew up in a non wealthy family. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He was born on the seventeenth of January In 1706. Ben was the 15th out of seventeen children. Benjamin was also the youngest boy. His parents were Josiah and Abiah Franklin. They were hard working and very religious. His father work in his shop " The Sign of the Blue Ball",on Milk Street. He made soap and candles. Then later in a larger house on Union Street. Ben only had two years of formal education. Benjamin was great at reading, bad at math and okay at writing. Josiah Franklin then decided he could not afford Ben's education any longer. Ben then helped his father in his shop by cutting wicks and melting tallow. Although Benjamin Franklin grew up in a big family without much money, he ended up doing great things.

In his early years
Revolutionary War
Ben Franklin was a very important part of the Revolutionary War. Benjamin got the British to get rid of the stamp act. He signed the Declaration of Independence. Shortly after he signed the Declaration of Independence he went to France to help America. He went to France to try to form an alliance. He was seventy at the time and it was the most important task of his life. He got the French to sign the alliance after the U.S made General John Burgoynes surrender at the Battle of Saratoga. The alliance was signed on February 6, 1778. He also got arrangements for the transportation of officers, soldiers, guns and ammunition. He even sent General Baron Von Steuben to Valley Forge to help George Washington. Without Ben the United States might not have won the war and become a free country.
The Scientest Part of Him
Benjamin Franklin was also a very good scientist. Ben invented bifocal glasses and the fake arm. He even invented a musical instrument. He also knocked himself unconscious trying to kill a turkey with an electrical shock. He was the first person to study the movement of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf Streams flow. Ben refused to make a profit of his inventions. He was a very intelligent man that is why he was a good scientist.
Conclusion
Benjamin Franklin had a interesting life. Ben Franklin grew up in a big family of nineteen people. Ben Franklin is a big reason the United States is not ruled by England. He was also a good and important scientist. Benjamin started his life in a family without much money but hardworking. He is a big reason the United won the Revolutionary War.
