Mrs. Redden's Update
We had a successful first day of STAAR testing last week. Our students were on time, and they seemed to work hard during the test. We encouraged all students to take their time and show their work using scratch paper, and many of them did. This week our 5th grade students will take their Science test while our 4th graders go on a field trip to Cinemark to watch a movie. All students will eat lunch in their classrooms on Wednesday due to STAAR testing, so parents will not be able to come eat lunch with their child on this day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Below, you will find a link to our campus Title 1 policy. I encourage you to open the form and read through our policy. You may share any feedback to my email at kredden@connally.org as we prepare to update the form for next year.
Some of our Girl Start members attended the Girl Start conference in Austin on Saturday. Girl Start is an organization to empower girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). They had a great time and learned a lot. Thank you to Mrs. Kuykendall and Ms. Lewis for heading up this program all year!
Also, I'd like to congratulate our 2023-2024 Connally Elementary School Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Natalie Wilson. This is Mrs. Wilson's fourth year at CES teaching 4th grade ELAR and Social Studies. This year she has served on our Guiding Coalition, AVID Site Team, TIL team, and is the 4th grade team lead. We are so lucky to have her at CES!
