School Counselor's Information
Erin's Law
In accordance with Senate Bill 288, our ninth grade students will be receiving education about Erin’s Law, which updated the prescribed curriculum for health education, adding requirements related to child sexual abuse prevention, dating violence prevention, and sexual violence prevention. This law requires schools to provide developmentally appropriate instruction prevention on these topics to students.
There will also be a parent information night on April 9th at 6pm in the Elementary Commons. Trained staff will be present to answer your questions and the curriculum materials will be available for you to examine.
Opt-out forms will be accepted prior to any classroom instruction regarding Erin's Law.

Lunch Charges
There are many students who have outstanding lunch balances. If you owe fees please try to get these paid down as soon as possible. Transcripts will not be issued or sent for students who owe fees, nor will they receive their diploma during graduation ceremonies.
Freddie Care Closet
The goal is to provide students with food, clothing or personal items while keeping it anonymous.
How it works:
- Students scan the QR code and an email is sent to one of the Counselors.
- The student will be called down to meet with the Counselor to discuss their needs.
- If the student is comfortable, the Counselor and student can walk together to the Care Closet or the student can share what they need and the Counselor will get it for them.
Supporting our Freddies
Our priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. We encourage everyone to actively participate in creating a nurturing environment that promotes open communication, empathy, and understanding. If you know a student who may need support, or if you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our social workers or school counselors. Working together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of our students.
