Science News - 7th Grade
Students have been exploring the concepts of thermal energy, temperature and heat energy in science. They have done some investigations to find out the scientific difference between matter that is "hot" and "cold" and experienced that while some materials may feel like they are at very different temperatures, they can-in fact-be the same. They have begun to use and create visual models to see what is happening to matter on a molecular level. Students will be examining the insulative and conductive properties of different materials as well as the three ways in which heat is transferred from one place to another. Please check out these resources if you would like to learn more about heat and what your child is learning about in science class.

Strategies for Returning to School - from Support Staff
News from the School Nurse
COVID19 Protocols
If your child has any symptoms on the COVID-19 checklist, please keep them home and call the main office.
Physicals
In order for me to maintain up to date health records, whenever your child has a physical exam by his/her doctor please make sure that I get a copy of the exam and immunization record.
Thank You
I want to take this time to thank you for your diligence in monitoring your children and keeping them home from school when they are sick, letting the school know when they are sick, following advice to get them tested for COVID, and following return to school guidelines after testing, travel or close contact. I would really appreciate it if you continue to persevere and be diligent in your efforts to help keep all of our students, staff and school families as safe and healthy as possible. Please let me know if there are ways I can support you in doing this.
Sincerely,
Sue Wiegers BSN, RN, NCSN
