Looking at the forecast for the next few weeks, we will start to get a little snow so make sure the snow pants still fit this year. Most of the students have been dressed for the weather. We have had some hats and gloves that have been donated for students that need them, but we always can use a few more of the gloves that are water proof.
I was invited to read with the 4YK classroom this week. I always enjoy reading with children from their favorite books. Most of our students are working on reading for 10-20 minutes at home. If you are able to have them read to you, read to them, or read your own book during that time it would be a quality time spent with your child.
Hope to see you at our next reading night on Monday December 12th!

From the Middle/High School Principal's Office
This week, Wednesday, our entire freshman class participated in a Respect Retreat with Bruce and New Auburn freshmen. I was able to attend the retreat during the afternoon session and heard so many great ideas from our students:
- Take another look at people without being judgmental, and let them write their own stories.
- We don’t have to live up to an inner ego. Be yourself and be good at it!
- Realize how you treat people. It matters, and it matters deeply.
- Remind others around you that people matter. Everybody should feel like they have a place in this world.
- Think about that person you want to be and how you want others to know and remember you right now, in the present, and in the future.
For me personally, this was a great day to be a Falcon. As our students participated in all activities, they were attentive and just down right represented our school with the utmost pride that we could ask for!
Thank you Mrs. Zimmer and Mr. Alexander for chaperoning this event!
Also, our ACADEC Team did an amazing job at the local competition at CESA 10. The students took 6 very rigorous tests, all of which (except for math) were based on the topic of World War II. This is one of the most successful years we have had in ACADEC. Please congratulate a decathlete if you see one!

As we enter the winter sports season, success will be measured by some in wins and losses. We keep score for a reason and yes that is one measure of success. For all who venture off out and participate, support, and cheer, you will be successful.
There are no losers when you give your all, surround yourself with family and friends, and score the blessings. Come watch a match or a ball game. Christmas concerts will be taking place the week of December 19-22. There will be something for everyone.
See ya there!!

Update From the IMC
You may be seeing a new-familiar face in the library media center, I have returned from maternity leave. I am excited about my new position and working with students at all grade levels. Be sure to stop in and see some of our new books. We also have updated many of our popular book series. This time of the year is perfect for curling up with an exciting book and a cup of sizzling hot chocolate.
Are you looking for fun, educational games to do at home? Be sure to check out our updated IMC Moodle page.
