Sunset Weekly Notes
September 5th - 8th
Mission: Sunset will educate and inspire students to thrive in an environment of change.
Message from Mrs. Hafey
So, with all that said, remember to let ME be your rock, your encouragement, and your cheerleader!
T-Shirt Orders
Staff t-shirt orders will be turned in and handed out as soon as we get them back!
We will send out one more notice to parents to be sure we have not missed any parent orders and then turn them in - so please be watching Bulldog Notebooks for T-shirt orders!
Duty Responsibilities
I again am amazed and proud of the team work displayed as schedules are ironed out, negotiated, and agreed upon! Thank you for working so closely with one another!

Strength
Sisu means that you finish what you start, you don’t quit in the middle of a job, and you don’t whine.
Spiders
Box Tops
We earned enough Box Tops to put towards a desktop computer! That is amazing when you think each one of them is only ten cents!
Moby Max
Also, Moby Max offers Webinars every Tuesday at 8:00 and Thursdays at 4:00. They tend to last one hour! Also, we have staff members that have used this program extensively last year, so if you are needing support to get started - getting your class in - please come see me and I can direct you to support!
Star Fall has been been purchased for Kindergarten!
Please work with your grade level partner to come up with a plan to use these programs to best support the needs of your students, monitor in real time, and use the data to direct your instruction!
EXERCISE CHARTS START THIS MONTH! KEEP MOVIN'
2nd Step
1. Kyla will plan for a sub on the days she is absent - not to deliver the curriculum but some other character building activity AND maintain and respect the scheduled times established!
2. We are asking that teachers remain in their rooms during this time - to be aware of the content being covered so that you can utilize, support, and grow the skills during the days in between the lessons!
Please work with Kyla to schedule your time as soon as possible as she is working on her schedule (classes and independent student needs and duty responsibilities)!
If you have questions in regards to this, please come see me or Kyla!

Few Reminders:
2. Remind our students to enter through the cafeteria doors for breakfast in the mornings - not the front doors
3. Remind parents they can not park and walk their students in when they are in the Kiss and Go Zone - for those of you who move to the front of the building after Bus Duty
4. Close your windows when you leave each day
5. Be on time for your PE/Music and lunch times - we are running tight
6. Enjoy your day!!!! YOU have the best job in the WORLD!
There is only one YOU...
in this great big world - make it a better place! Sunset Elementary students each created a unique rock to beautify our campus. These rocks symbolize the diversity and acceptance of others as unique individuals. By respecting individuality, we can each make a difference in our own lives and the lives of those around us.
This will be the posted sign where we will put our painted rocks! Please take the time and paint a rock - extra rocks will be in the lounge - take what you need! Please have them completed by Friday! I will give you the final place to place them as a class - as I am putting my final thoughts on this!
