Follow up on ID's --
Every staff member needs to continue to meet students at their door every period every day. It will just take time to train everyone. There's no easy way around it.
Some clarifications:
A lanyard hanging out of a pocket does not constitute a visible ID.
It must be visible from the front.
A clipped ID attached to the backpack is not going to work the second the backpack is off. The ID should be clipped to clothing and visible.
Students must have ID to go to nurse, counseling, restrooms, etc.
Parent Conference Day on the Horizon --
8:30 -- 10:00 Cafeteria for diversity training
12-1 -- Staff picnic cafeteria area -- food provided. Bring your own drink.
The remainder of the day may be used for parent conferences. Dr. Prince will be sending out a link to the parent conference day form where you will record your minimum of 10 conferences and see what other conferences are occurring. You can go ahead start these, as well. The general window is between September 23 and October 15.
Don't Forget: JOIN PTSA!
Show your support for the organization that supports all staff and students on this campus! Dues are only $13.50.
Professional Learning for '19-'20
Opportunities for professional and collegial learning and growth may be found by clicking on the link below which takes you to all kinds of information. (This is the same Google Sheet Coryn shared with you last Friday.)
