Humble ISD Needs 2 MORE Middle School Parents for Book Reconsideration Committees
Humble ISD continues to hold library book reconsideration committees to review library books that are being challenged for appropriateness in being in a Humble ISD campus library.
Humble ISD needs 2 more middle school parents for book reconsideration committees after Spring Break! The time commitment is reading the book in a reasonable amount of time and meeting (in most cases) one time to discuss the appropriateness of the book.
Email Melissa Leigh <Melissa.Leigh@humbleisd.net> with questions or your interest in being on a committee.

Principal Corner: Proud of our UIL Competition Directors & Team Accomplishments!
(a) Jessica A., Shari E. & the “Back Cover” Theater UIL One-Act Play put on another master performance for its audience earning a 2nd Place finish (really it was a 1st place finish, but I am biased).
(b) Marie S. & the Men’s Choir received Superior ratings in concert & sight-reading for the first time in many years! So happy for Mrs. Sanford & this group of young men!
(c) Marie S. & the Bel Canto choir earned Excellent ratings in concert & sight-reading! They sounded really good on stage & the pressure-packed sight-reading portion. We are proud of this group of ladies!
(d) Michelle A. & the Concert Orchestra earned Superior ratings for both concert & sight-reading last Wednesday! It is amazing what this group of students can do in 7th grade!
(e) Yu-Chuan L. & the Philharmonic & Chamber Orchestras each earned Superior ratings in concert & sight-reading to continue the excellence in their program! Congrats, Yu-Chuan & Michelle A., for their continued excellence in leading each of these groups to perform at the highest level each year!
(f) Sarah Bradley & the Tigerettes brought home more trophies from the CrowdPleasers competition at the Woodlands-College Park this past Saturday, Mar. 4. Among 7 1st place wins in their size category, the Tigerettes Officers got 4th Runner-Up Overall Officer Group and the 1st Runner-Up Overall Large Team. Abby F. is the 1st Place Winner in 8th-grade Solos (out of 78 dancers - including RMS & CMS)! WOW! Way to go, Abby!
