Happy New Year!
We were very busy during December celebrating Christmas! We had many new projects and spent a lot of time making things for our moms and dads! Our little party was wonderful and the children had so much fun opening their new books. Thank you to moms, dads, grandmas and grandpas who were able to celebrate with us. The children loved this special time!
Most of our days have been spent inside because it has been so cold outside, but we have been finding new large motor activities to keep our bodies moving and grooving! The children love listening and dancing to music.
Christmas also brought us many new book to read... so even though those books are back on the shelf, we continue to read stories everyday. There are always books available for the children to read, but they love when teachers sit down and invite friends to the rug to listen to stories. Reading and listening to stories is so important for them, they learn so much with books!
We also got a new table and chairs in our room! This is been a great transition for the children, sitting in chairs, eating at a table with friends, and some drinking from a cup! This takes patience, but many children are getting the hang of it!
In January we will say goodbye to Roderick, his family is moving out of town and we are so happy for them, but sad to see them leave. We will miss you Roderick, we have loved all the time we have spent together!
