We are making preparations to welcome your student as a ninth grader at Cambridge-Isanti High School.
Registration Night
Cambridge-Isanti High School
Performing Arts Center
Thursday, February 29, 5:00 PM
We will begin the presentation promptly at 5:00 pm. There will be some tables set up for you to explore some opportunities that CIHS has to offer. The presentation lasts approximately 30 minutes.
IMS Counselors, Mrs. Emmons and Mrs. Foley, will be going into 8th grade Math classes on Friday, March 1, to reinforce the important parts of the registration process. All of the materials and additional information will be made available to students on the 1st. The intent is to have all students complete their 9th grade registration worksheet before they head out for Spring Break. The high school counselors and administrators will then use those worksheets to complete the registration process.
IMS Counselors:
- Terri Emmons (last names A-L) 763-691-8659
- Erin Foley (last names M-Z) 763-691-8613
The primary purpose of this evening is to assist students and parents in making decisions about high school. Specific topics include:
- the registration process
- required and elective courses
- opportunities the high school offers
- post-high school education requirements
Please sit with your student during the information session or review the materials online together. We look forward to meeting you and beginning the school/home dialogue that is essential to student success in high school.

Inclement Weather Plan
What happens if school is closed for the day?
Cambridge Isanti Schools may use eLearning days due to inclement weather. A flexible eLearning Day means that school can be in session without students and staff being physically present at the school. Below is more information on our eLearning Day.
Teachers will post the day's lesson in Google Classroom by 10:00am. All teachers will be available from 10am-3pm by school email or within their open Google Meets. Students may work on lessons independently throughout the day. If a student needs help with a lesson they can access their teacher according to the modified schedule in the slides linked below. Students are able to access Google Meets via their school issued Chromebook or other personal devices
Attendance Intervention Meeting (AIM)
AIM meetings serve as the initial intervention for students facing attendance challenges. AIM represents a collaborative effort between C-I Schools, the Isanti County Probation, and the Attorney's offices. When students accumulate three unexcused absences, we refer the student to the Isanti County Probation Department and they are invited to attend an AIM meeting held at the courthouse.

ENCORE program provides free tutoring, internet access, and opportunities for students to improve their academic and study skills.
- ENCORE is open to all IMS students.
