Thank you for attending the GMRSD Elementary Family Math Night! We hope your math learning was "out of this world"! Shout out to Ms. Powers, Director of Teaching and Learning, and the math interventionists at each elementary school, for planning such an amazing event! Thank you to the SES Student Council members that volunteered to work at it! We appreciate all of you!
GMRSD Elementary Family Science Night - Bus Sign-Up
We are hosting a family Science Night on Thursday, May 16th (rain date: Thursday, May 23rd) at Gill Elementary School. There is very limited parking at Gill; therefore, we are offering transportation on a school bus. In order to know how many busses we will need, please complete this registration form by Friday, April 12th.
Pick-up and drop-off locations include Food City, Millers Center, and Sheffield Elementary School. Parents or caregivers must ride the bus with their student(s).
Your sign-up will be confirmed with an email and we will supply you and your student(s) with Science Night bus tickets.
See you tomorrow at the Artists' Reception!
3rd Grade Art at the Carnegie Library
Third grade art students have spent the last few weeks learning about what architects and interior designers do and then have drawn several different floor plans in preparation for this project. They are currently working on their library designs and I hope to have them all completed for display within the next week.
Angela Rovatti-Leonard the children's librarian and Ms. Castro-Santos, Sheffield's art teacher, will be hanging work in the Discovery Center in downtown Turners Falls. Attached is a flyer for the event. Please note that there is a reception and refreshments on Saturday, March 23 for everyone to attend!

Seeking Business Sponsors for Bingo for Books
Bingo for Books is a free family event we are hoping to hold in April. Sheffield students and their siblings get to play bingo for free brand-new books and other family friendly prizes. We are seeking Business Sponsors for this event and are looking to raise $625 ($500 for books and $125 for items like bookmarks, pencils, fidgets etc). If you own a business or know one that would be willing to contribute, please reach out to us so we can send you a letter with all the details along with our flier. No contribution is too small, and every little bit helps. We currently have one sponsor.
If you have questions or comments about any of the above, we can be reached via email: friendsofsheffield@gmail.com
