Bellville Elementary Newsletter
November 2020
As we complete the first nine weeks of school, we are so thankful to still be able to see your wonderful children's smiling faces in person each day! (We are assuming everyone is smiling behind the masks.)
Picture retakes for Bellville students who are in person, and remote learners will be Tuesday, November 3rd. Please make sure your child communicates with his/her teacher if they will be getting pictures taken.
As temperatures are falling, please make sure your child is dressed for cooler weather. Coats, hats and gloves will be needed as we do our best to go outside for recess each day. If you are in need of winter supplies, please call Mrs. Swank at (419) 886-3244 and I will do my best to make arrangements for you.
Due to the increased cases of Covid-19, and Richland County remaining on red, Clear Fork Schools have made some changes with conferences. Thursday, November 12 will be parent/teacher conferences from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Parents have the option of meeting in person or via zoom with their child's teacher. If this will not work, please contact your child's teacher to set up an alternate day and time for conferences. This means all students will have a remote learning day on November 12th. There will not be zoom meetings, but students will have assignments to complete during the day. Parents/Caregivers will need to make arrangements for their child/children to be home on November 12th, and school will resume on November 13th. Parent/Teacher Conferences scheduled for November 19th have been canceled.
If you are interested in changing your child(ren) from in person to remote, or from remote to in person for the second semester (January 19th to May 27th), please email Mrs. Swank at swanks@clearfork.k12.oh.us before December 1st. Requests will not be accepted after the December 1st deadline. If you are not making a change, there is no need to email me, your child will remain learning in person or remotely.
Thank you so much for your support and kindness through all of the changes this year! We know this has been difficult for your family as well! If you have any questions or concerns, please call or email me at your earliest convenience. We are hoping for another nine weeks of in person learning!!!
Sincerely,
Stacey Swank, Principal

Join us for a virtual story time! Even though MRCPL is currently unable to host our live programming, our Children's Departments will be sharing a story time just like the ones you are used to joining in at your local library location. We will provide a new story time each week that you can watch when it's convenient for you, along with a "take it home project pack" that goes along with the week's story. Take it home packs may include a coloring sheet, craft, etc. all related to the story of the week. Watch at www.mrcpl.org/fall-2020/virtual-programming/virtual-story-times-and-story-time-kits
