CELEBRATING OCTOBER AT BRIDGE VALLEY
October was a month of rigorous teaching and learning at Bridge Valley. It was wonderful to have a five- week-stretch of uninterrupted instruction. Teachers were able to dig into deep lessons which encouraged critical thinking and collaborative student work. We observed even our youngest students engaged in thoughtful discussions, hands-on learning activities, and critical reading of texts. As educators, these are the months we treasure in which incredible academic growth takes place.
And our course, to end this busy month, we had a festive celebration through our Halloween parade and parties. Kids and adults alike were smiling ear to ear all day long as they showed off their costumes and had fun with their friends. Please enjoy some pictures from today’s parade and have a safe and enjoyable Halloween weekend!

COUNSELOR'S CORNER
The Honorary Trailblazer for October was Mr. Richard Raabe from the Warwick Fire Department. Mr. Raabe has been volunteering for the Fire Department for over fifty years. He has received the Burpee Award twice for risking his life to save others in Bucks County. Mr. Raabe helped our school during Fire Prevention Week. He oversaw the crew that taught the students and was the engineer of the fire trucks. He won the award for demonstrating outstanding citizenship by volunteering at the Fire Department and teaching Bridge Valley students about fire prevention to help keep our community safe.

FALL TEACHER CONFERENCE LUNCHEON
We are planning a festive fall themed luncheon for our dedicated teachers during a busy afternoon of conferences. The luncheon will take place in the cafeteria after dismissal on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23rd. We would greatly appreciate your support with donations to the luncheon. As in the past, we realize this is a busy travel week for families so we are asking for cash donations to cover the cost of catering, in addition to the other food/drink items that are needed. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. You may also donate your time and come in to help out….anyone is welcome to stop in and say hello! Thank you for your generosity and please feel free to reach out with any questions.

THANK YOU ~ FALL FEST
Thank you to all of our Bridge Valley families who came out to the 5th Annual Fall Fest!! It was an amazing day with huge crowds and lots of smiles! We are grateful to all of our families who donated cakes, baked goods and cold drinks! We just couldn’t put on this event without your support. Thank you to the parents who helped us out by taking volunteer shifts. With so many games and activities we needed lots of help. Thank you to our amazing teens from CB West and CB East Key Clubs and the Holicong National Junior Honor Society! A special mention to Diamond Ridge Camps, www.diamondridgecamps.com and the Batterman Family for supplying us with all the new and fun carnival games for Fall Fest. This was a very generous offer and we appreciate their support!
Lastly, Fall Fest is a school wide event that gives our entire BVE community a great opportunity to get together and have a very special Fall day. There are so many details involved with putting on this event and it would not be possible without our AMAZING Fall Fest Committee who have committed countless hours before, during and after Fall Fest! A great big THANK YOU to:
Kimberly Leff, Michelle Copeland, Laura Mercuri, Laura Mitchell, Meredith Eater, Amy Greenspan, Julie Davis, Rachel Feldman, Maria Giordano, Kathleen Keefe, Corie Kearns, Tammy Adams, Courtney Foster and Kate Robinson.
Many of us will be heading on to Holicong and Lenape soon, so we are looking for parents to join the Fall Fest Committee, please contact Kerry Eron at fruity@comcast.net if interested!
THANK YOU ~ BVE FALL BOOK FAIR
The Monster Book Fair Committee sends out a huge monster-sized THANK YOU to all of the parents who volunteered to make the book fair a success. From the parents who rang up purchases on the registers, to the parents who helped navigate students through the posters and bookmarks and the parents who helped students add up the coins in their zip-locks bags, it was truly a Trailblazer community event. See you in the Spring!
THANK YOU ~ KIDSTUFF BOOKS
The KidStuff Books committee would like to thank the volunteers who helped sort, sticker, collate and disperse the valuable KidStuff Coupon books to our school community. AND, special thank you to those parents who helped us ‘button up’ the books by adding up monies which helps us achieve our school and student support goals. We couldn’t have done it without this valuable help!
Note: There are a precious few books still available for purchase — please contact the office if you would like to purchase another book.
