1:1 Pilot Classrooms Parent Night
Tuesday, March 7th at 6:00 P.M.
Information, Question, and Answer Session
Dear Parents/Guardians:
We are pleased to inform you that your child’s classroom is participating in a pilot related to our district’s 1:1 technology initiative. In preparation for implementing 1:1 technology in all classrooms in the winter of the 2017-2018 school year, a number of teachers in each school will be piloting devices this winter/spring.
Our District Technology Team is working hard to research and develop a program that will serve the needs of our school and community. We're excited that students will be able to integrate technology into the existing curriculum in order to develop 21st century skills.
As with any new program, there may be questions regarding its implementation. One of our goals is to provide parents and guardians with an opportunity to learn more about this initiative. Please note the date and time below:
An Informational Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 7th at 6:00 P.M.
Oakwood School's LRC or Multi-purpose Room (Signs will be posted)
Our Digital Learning Coach and piloting classroom teachers will be present to highlight what this will look like in classrooms and to answer any questions you may have at this time.
Devices will be on-hand for demonstration.
- PLEASE RSVP by Friday, March 3rd if you're able to join us.
Oakwood's 1:1 pilot teachers include the following:
Ms. Busz, Kindergarten
Mrs. Gray, Kindergarten
Ms. Brenner, 1st Grade
Ms. March, 1st Grade
Ms. Clark, 2nd Grade
We are excited about this initiative, which is vital to our students’ career and college readiness. Working together we can ensure its success.
Sincerely,
Oakwood School's 1:1 Pilot Team
