First Quarter--a Huge Success!
The 2015-2016 school year has already had amazing accomplishments! Juniors and Seniors are taking 324 college credit hours. Homecoming festivities exploded with school spirit. Several new classes are available this year. It is definitely a great day to be a Gator!
"Dear Grandchild" Scholarship Contest
Nebraska's 529 College Savings Plan is offering the "Dear Grandchild" contest. Write a letter to your grandchild, great niece or nephew, explaining your hopes and dreams for them and why higher education will be important. Manufacturing Bootcamp
This class provides individuals basic workforce readiness skills, tools and techniques related to production, customer service, and safety. The classes run from Oct 12-Dec 9 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-9:30 pm. Contact Tracy Melcher at 402-844-7235 for more information and to register!
UN-L CASNR College & Career Exploration Day
On Oct 3rd, East Campus at UNL will host an open house which will explore a lot of career and college options. Register with Mrs. Kreikemeier!
Senior Parent Night
Senior parents are invited to learn more about the college admission and scholarship process in a meeting that is designed just for parents. The event will be held twice; just choose one of the following dates--October 12 or 14th from 6:30-7:30. This is the same night as Parent-Teacher Conferences. The event will be held in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
Junior parents who would like to learn more about the process are encouraged to attend as well!

PSAT Exam
The testing for the National Merit Scholar Program will be held on Wednesday, October 15th. Juniors and sophomores who score well on standardized tests are urged to take this test. Please stop by Mrs. Kreikemeier's office to sign up and receive more information.

College Athetics
Any student interested in Division I/II activities at the collegiate level needs to register with NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse. Any student interested in NAIA athletics needs to register with the NAIA Clearinghouse. Please see Mrs. Kreikemeier for more information.
Selective Service Announcement
All male United State citizens must register for the Selective Service. If you are at least 17 years and 3 months old, complete the online registration. Males must register within 30 days of their 18th birthday. Register online at http://www.sss.gov
Senior College Visit Day
The best way to decide on your college home is to visit campuses! Oct 29th is the day every senior will take a campus visit; it is encouraged to visit a campus with parents. If students need to go on a campus visit with the school, that can be arranged as well. Set up your campus visits now!
