NEWS FROM MRS. HAZARD, PRINCIPAL
Greetings SRES Families!
Our 4th graders had an AMAZING experience with Main Street Arts during their mini-residency this week! The whole school walked down to watch a demonstration of their learning and FUN was had by all. Ask your student what they saw!
SRES students shined at the BFUHS' production of Charlie Brown! They were respectful of BFMS learning spaces as we quietly traveled through to the auditorium, they were engaged audience members and they listened to and followed adult directions the first time! YAY! Be sure to ask your student what they enjoyed most about Charlie Brown! Thank you to BFUHS for inviting us!

Reading with Ribby program
We are starting to see the Reading with Ribby bookmarks being returned by SRES students!
Reading with Ribby is a program designed to foster a love of reading for kids of all ages. The challenge is to read (or be read to) 18 times for 20 minutes each time. In 2024, the program runs from March 11th to April 12th.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM UPDATE
Hello SRES ASP families,
Session 4 for ASP will be starting Monday April 1, 2024. We are excited to be offering some fun clubs this session. We are excited to continue our Folk Dance Club and Fri-Yay Club. This spring we will also be offering Scrapbook Club, Garden Club and The Grafton Nature Museum will be joining us again!
Our week of clubs will look like this:
Monday: Folk Dance Club: Ms. Alyx will continue teaching us folk dancing. The students had so much fun with this club that we decided to continue it for Session 4!
Tuesday: Gardening Club: Students will be learning how to germinate, transplant seedlings, learn & observe where some of their food comes from as well as participate in general garden care.
Wednesday: Scrapbook Club: Our students will be learning how to preserve memories in this club. Scrapbook Club was one of our favorite clubs last year. We may ask you to send in a few photos of your students to use this year in their scrapbooks.
Thursday: Grafton Nature Museum Club: The Grafton Nature Museum will be joining us on Thursdays. It is always exciting to see what we will learn each week.
Friday: Fun FriYay! Club: This club will be a combination of Wacky Wednesday Club and Choice Club. Each Friday the students will have different activities. We may even visit our garden on a Friday to see how it is growing!
If your students would like to change their days of week please let me know. We do have a few open spots for Session 4.
Please reach out if you have questions.
