Individuals with Fever or Loss of Taste or Loss of Smell
Attention parents: If a member of your household experiences symptoms that are strongly associated with COVID-19 (fever > 100℉ or loss of taste or loss of smell), the Monroe County Department of Public Health has instructed school districts to presume that individual is positive and act accordingly. This means that all household members should be quarantined and school-aged students in the household should not attend school or school activities until the symptomatic individual gets tested and receives negative results. If your child develops a fever, loss of taste or loss of smell in school, your child and your other children will be sent home from school. If your child develops a fever, loss of taste or loss of smell at home, please keep your other children home and contact your child’s healthcare provider and school nurse for further guidance.
As per current protocols, if your child experiences other symptoms associated with COVID-19 (Shortness of Breath, Cough, Sore Throat, Fatigue, Nasal Congestion/Runny Nose, Nausea, Vomiting or Diarrhea, Headaches, Muscle or Body Aches) that are new, worsening or unusual for them, your child needs be evaluated by a HCP and undergo COVID-19 testing per DOH guidelines before returning to school. Asymptomatic siblings of students with these symptoms may continue to attend school unless the ill individual tests positive or develops fever, loss of smell or loss of taste.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our schools healthy and safe!
Info on Prom and Ball!
Junior Prom and Senior Ball Planned for June 2021
The junior and senior classes are combining efforts to create a weekend dedicated to these two rites of passage for high schoolers. We will be transforming our main courtyard with three large tents for the Juniors on June 11 and the Seniors on June 12.
For these events, both Thomas and Schroeder will be allowing current Webster students from either school to be guests. That means students can bring a date from another grade level or from Schroeder. Guest forms will be available in House Offices and the main office for students bringing a non-Thomas guest.
For the Class of 2021!!
Be a speaker at graduation!
