Good Reason Houston to Host ‘Making Time For Healing’ Webinar on Sept. 14
Join Good Reason Houston for a social-emotional learning (SEL) webinar entitled “Making Time For Healing” on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m.
Teachers and students need focused and intense emotional support right now in response to so much lost in the pandemic–jobs, housing, loved ones. Good Reason Houston will team up with FuelEd and Momentous Institute to discuss the support that educators and kids are needing, and what we can do to help.

Spring ISD Family and Community Engagement to Host Academic Family Night
Do you want to learn how to help your kids with their school work at home? Join Spring ISD’s Family and Community Engagement Department as they host an Academic Family Night on Tuesday, Sept. 14 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Spring ISD Community Engagement Center (17125 Ella Blvd., 77090).
Participants will learn:
Specific ways to support their children's education while at home
Hands on activities to teach math and reading at home
Gain an understanding of how to tackle the TEKS
Light snacks and child care will be provided.

Spring ISD Locations Offering Free COVID-19 Testing and Vaccinations
Spring ISD is partnering with Houston Medical ER and Inspire Health to offer free COVID-19 testing and vaccine sites to the district’s students, staff and community.
Inspire Health mobile testing units will be at the following campuses, Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
Westfield High School (16713 Ella Blvd., Houston, TX 77090)
*Planet Ford Stadium (23802 Cypresswood Dr, Spring, TX 77373)
To expedite testing, students and staff members may pre-register beforehand here, but pre-registration is not required. Inspire Health plans to expand location options in the near future.
Additionally, Houston Medical ER (2306 Rayford Road, Spring, TX 77386) also is providing free vaccines and testing, Monday through Friday (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Saturday (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.).
