News from Rice Elementary School
In February , Rice Elementary Celebrated Black History Month.
Each day during February's morning announcements, a mini bio was read about one famous African American and that person's contributions from which we all benefit, a motivating quote from another, and a trivia question with a prize for the first correct answer.
Our hard-working librarian, Mrs. Beard, read to each class a story about a famous African Americans.
Our campus has also selected some students from the 4th grade class to assist with special announcements and events on our campus.
Our group selected a name for their leadership team, LEAD DAWGS. Keep watching for this group and their commitment to Rice Elementary.
