NOVEMBER 30, 2022 - NEWSLETTER
SLPHS families,
Well, we got through our first good snow fall yesterday. As hearty Minnesotans we are back to our routines today. We are one day closer to the end of term. Trimester 1 classes for students will conclude tomorrow – Thursday.
Here are a couple of important end of Trimester updates:
- No school – Dec. 2 & 5: There is no school for students on Friday, December 2 or Monday, December 5. Teachers will be using these days for reporting on student progress, communication and professional learning. We’ll see students back at school on Tuesday, December 6 as we begin Trimester 2.
- Trimester 1 grades: Final grades for Trimester 1 will be posted and viewable online in Campus Parent Portal for families on Friday, December 16. If you might be logging into the portal for the first time, parents can access tech support resources on the Technology Tools, Resources and Log Ins page.
Stay warm, my friends, as we move into winter and the month of December. One of those two will go fast, and it is not winter! My family is taking up Nordic skiing this winter. I hope your family finds ways make the winter months more enjoyable.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. One school, one community #SLPPantherProud!

Fall Academic Awards event - December 7

Fueling a passion and a plan through Pathways
Through career and college pathways, students like senior Sam Larson are finding their passions and making big plans for their future. After spending sophomore and junior years exploring courses in the Technology, Engineering & Design Pathway, he entered his senior year with purpose.
Sam will attend North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) next year as a student in the John Deere Tech program. He’ll learn through classroom and hands-on lab work. It’s a combination he already knows he's passionate about from his experience at Spring Lake Park High School.
Get to know our 2022-2023 student school board reps
Seniors Kennedy Cuddihy, Emilia Holm and Maria Horst are this year's student representatives on the Spring Lake Park Schools school board. Each year, the board welcomes student representatives from the high school’s student council to join their board meetings and update members on student life and the SLP experience.
These student board representatives come with long-time Spring Lake Park Schools experience and have discovered many passions and interests along the way.
