Castle Rock Communiqué
Distance Learning Phase Two - Week Four
Hello Castle Rock Families!
As we enter week four of distance learning, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our students and families who have risen to the challenges of continuing their education from home. I have been given the wonderful opportunity to join many of your classrooms through Zoom and Google classroom, and I continue to be amazed and impressed at what is possible with innovation, creativity, and hard work. So many of you are flourishing, despite these challenging times, and we are so encouraged by that.
This past week we saw many celebrations of your learning with IB awards, a wonderful teacher appreciation week, and even some yard sign deliveries to some of our most important Knights - our promoting fifth grade class! To my Knights headed off to the middle school...we celebrate you this month and encourage you to keep up the great work; you are almost there!
Parents, this week's newsletter brings some wonderful opportunities for you to highlight the efforts of your children from home. You are in the best position to see how hard your child is working, and how they are displaying our IB attributes. Please take a moment to nominate your child for special recognition by clicking HERE.
Fifth grade families, the fun is just beginning! With your permission, we would like to highlight your child on our social media pages and website; please click HERE to complete the necessary information.
Have a great week Knights! I can't wait to see you online! And don't forget to submit your videos for our virtual talent show! It's going to be a blast!
Warmly,
Jen Alcazar
Principal
