Arrival and Dismissal Updates & Reminders
Thank you for your continued support with our morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Please reach out if you have questions about our process. Here are a few reminders and updates that will help keep things moving smoothly.
Morning:
- UPDATE: To decrease our crowd of students waiting in the morning, we are going to ask to have students get out of cars at 8:35 AM or later, and then walk right into the building. Students getting breakfast can enter at 8:30 AM.
- Students should only get out of cars in the drop off line along the sidewalk. Please do not have students get out of cars in the 2nd lane away from the sidewalk. You may park and walk students up if needed.
- Please pull all the way up when dropping off students.
- Do not park or get out of your car in the drop off/pick up line. You may park in a parking spot and walk up if needed.
Afternoon:
- We are only allowing students to get into cars at the beginning of the line where we have a designated waiting area (first 5-6 cars). This will support our student safety and keep things moving.
- Do not park or get out of your car in the pick up line. If needed, you can park in a parking spot to make any adjustments or have students get buckled up.
- Please let the office know by 2:00 PM if any changes to end of the day transportation need to happen.
From The Principal
Happy Fall! We are looking forward to another fantastic week! This week we have our first round of Parent-Teacher conferences. We look forward to connecting with families during this time. As a reminder, our book fair will also be open during conferences for you to shop.
At conferences you will also receive a fall benchmark data report for both NWEA-MAP (district reading and math assessment) and Acadience (school reading assessment). We are proud of our staff and students for their hard work. We look forward to celebrating growth throughout the school year.
Students needing additional intervention support for reading and math begin this week. You may have already received a letter and/or heard from classroom teachers with more details. Some students may qualify for an Individualized Reading Plan (IRP) which will be shared during conferences. Please see the Read at Home Plan linked HERE for ways you can support reading from home, or check out the resources at Cal READS on our website HERE
This week we will also have our Harvest Hustle Walk A Thon, on Friday, October 7th. As a reminder, Parents/Guardians are welcome to come cheer on the students at the soccer field next to our playground. Students are encouraged to wear the color that matches their grade level.
