From the School Nurse
Dear Parents,
On October 16th and 17th, the Lions Club of Greenwich will be conducting vision screening and the School Nurse will perform hearing screenings. These screenings are done on all students in grade 1, 4 and 5 as per the State of CT guidelines. If time allows we will also screen Pre-K students for vision.
If you do not wish for your child to be screened, please contact the School Nurse before hand.
If your child wears glasses it is very important that they wear them to school for the screenings.
You will receive a letter if your child did not pass either screening. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for your attention,
Angie Lucas, RN
Kids in Crisis SafeTalk
During the next few weeks, Hamilton Avenue School student in grades 1-5 will participate in the Kids in Crisis SafeTalk program. This program, which uses the curriculum of the Child Assault Prevention Project (CAP), is supervised and presented by Kids in Crisis in collaboration with the International Center for Assault Prevention (ICAP).
Please attend a SafeTalk Parent Orientation meeting on Thursday October 17th, at 8:30 in the Hamilton Avenue cafetorium. The program will include a detailed description of the children's workshop, helpful parenting information and plenty of time for questions. As parents are concerned about the safety of all our children, we look forward to your participation in this very important program.
We ask that you download the notice below and read it.
