Gator Greetings
Congratulations to our Kindergarten students who paraded around the school yesterday as Super Readers to show off their superpowers as readers with their favorite book after working hard all semester on their reading skills. It was a wonderful celebration! All students celebrated the final day of the semester in a variety of ways in their classrooms and fun was had by all.
Teachers have been hard at work this week reflecting on student data and instructional practices from first semester. Each December, admin and coaches hold Winter Data Meetings with every classroom teacher to review individual student data. We review assessments such as NWEA and F&P, behavior reports, and anecdotal teacher observations to determine students progress and needs for the upcoming spring semester. This information will help to create individual intervention and enrichment plans as well as differentiated small group instruction for all students. Teachers finalized grades today in preparation for report cards that will come home when we return in January.
Be sure to check your student's bus route starting December 28th accessing the Versatrans link found here.

Route times and stops for all grade levels may be impacted. The Transportation Department will be available to answer any questions on January 4,5,6 and 9. Families with questions may call (317) 254-5510.
Don’t forget to sign up for the PTO events this winter. PTO’s largest fundraiser, Trivia Night, is planned for Friday, January 27th at Half Liter in Broad Ripple. This is an adult-only event and will certainly be a fun night to connect with Allisonville parents and staff in a relaxed setting. Next up is AV Pacers Family Night on Friday, February 3rd. The discounted ticket price includes a drink, food, and Pacers hat in an Allisonville block of seats. What a deal! Look for sign up information for both events in this week’s Gazette.
Happy Holidays to our entire Gator Community. Thank you to everyone that donated to the Student Ambassadors Food Drive. My New Year's wish to you is to have a restful and relaxing winter break with family and friends. We look forward to kicking off the spring semester on Tuesday, January 10th and will be excited to welcome students back to school after holiday recess.
