Communicating With Others.
Emily Manton 5th Period
Sender
The sender is the person sending a message to someone in some sort of way. This could be nonverbal such as writing a letter or verbal such as simply talking to the person.
Message
The message is what ever you are saying to the person. This could be simply "Have a nice day!" or "My name is Emily what is yours?" It can be whatever you want it to be and you can say it, write it, text it, etc.
Receiver
The receiver is the person getting the message you sent out. In this picture the lady is opening the letter that the sender sent her and is going to read it. After she read the letter she might want to send a letter back.
Feedback
This is what you say or write back to the sender. In the message that they said could have said "Have a nice day!" You would say something along the lines of "Thanks, you to." If you were doing a speech your feedback could be a question about what you said or just a simple good job.
Interference/ Noise
There are different interferences for different ways you communicate. In this case if you are writing a letter your interference would be your pencil breaking or your pen running out of ink. If you were talking it could be another person coming up and interrupting you.
Channel
Writing is the channel for this, because you aren't saying anything and the paper is writing what you are saying you physically have to write it all out or type it out. The channel is what type of communication you use, so it could be talking, writing, typing, or even facial expressions.
Second Presentation
Sender
In volleyball the sender is the person passing the ball. You are calling mine to let the other people on the court know that you are going for the ball. The sender is the person that sends the message to the receivers.
Message
The message for this would be the sender saying "GOT IT GOT IT GOT IT!!!!" or "MINE!!" The message is what the sender sends to the receiver so it could be anything in different cases. You call mine so that your teammates know that you are going for the ball.
Receiver
The receiver is the person getting the message from the sender. They are the ones getting the message in writing, talking or any other way you can communicate. In this case the receivers are getting the message that the sender is getting the ball. They know this because the sender is calling "MINE!"
Feedback
Feedback is what the receiver is saying back to the sender. This could be a question, comment, or concern. In this case the receiver would probably say "good job." or "Nice try." The receiver is always the one giving feedback because the sender cant really say good job to themselves.
Interference/Noise
There is always going to be an interference or noise while your doing something. In this case it's the crowd yelling and cheering for the team. You could get distracted from what they do and mess up. If you do get an interference you want to just keep going and act like nothing is happening.
Channel
The channel in this communication is talking, because you cant type out what you are going to say while in a volleyball game it wouldn't work. The channel is the way you are communicating, this could be talking, writing, signing, or body gestures.
