St. Brigid School
Molly Carone, Principal
October 26, 2018
Dear Parents,
Today, students in grades 4-8 received their 2018 state exam score reports Please check your child's backpack for a sealed envelope that will contain your child's score report.
I am thrilled to share that as a school, our scores have increased 13.5% in Math and 12.1% in ELA from 2017. This is amazing growth in a year! Looking at the graph below, you will see that since 2015 our scores have increased 24.8% in Math and 17.8% in ELA. St. Brigid is on the up and up! This is a testament to the commitment and perseverance of our faculty and your partnership and investment in your child’s education at St. Brigid.
These scores represent only a piece of our educational program here at St. Brigid, but this significant increase demonstrates that our students are benefitting from solid instructional practices and strong curricular planning.
Attached is a helpful resource for making sense of your child's score report. Please don't hesitate to reach out to myself or your child's teacher with any questions.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Ms. Carone
How to read your child's score report
Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader
A great way to encourage independent reading at home is pair it with a fun activity. Here's a great one in preparation for Halloween. Try reading one of these great books about pumpkins and then painting pumpkins together!
