Brought to you by the Shepard Elementary PTA
From our Principal
Dear Shepard Families,
I’m excited to share with you that I have been selected to attend Harvard University’s “Leadership: An Evolving Vision” Principal Institute this July. After a lengthy application and interview process, my attendance is being sponsored by Raise Your Hand Texas, a non-profit organization in Texas dedicated to supporting public schools. This is the second time I have been selected to attend an institute at Harvard, and I’m thrilled to be able to bring what I learn back to Shepard. (Editorial comment from the Patriot Post staff: Yay, Mrs. Bishop! We're so proud of you!)
For the last few weeks, the teachers and I have been collecting ideas for moving forward with our campus mission to grow a community that will make sure that students succeed academically and emotionally. Over the next few weeks, the campus leadership team, as well as the entire staff, will be crafting plans of action for academic intervention for students as well as designing a school wide student emotional learning success plan. It’s an exciting journey we are on in education, and the Shepard Staff is so glad to walk that journey with you and your children.
Sincerely,
Kristin Bishop
