180 Club Food Drive
The 180 Club and Math Department at Widefield High School is giving back to families in need this holiday. The group hosted a food drive that went extremely well. The math hallway, office, and back storage area is full of boxes of food. The group will be donating those boxes to about 40 families in our community on Sunday.

Two local nursing homes in Colorado Springs got a special delivery from students and staff at Discovery High School. Science teacher Lisa Gottschalk and several students delivered 130 homemade Christmas cards and cookies.

WSD3 Toy Drive
Thank you Positive Action Team (PAT) for organizing another successful WSD3 Toy Drive. Santa, Mrs. Claus, and elves spent an entire day traveling from building to building picking up toys donated by our extremely generous community. We collected more toys this year than years past. The Security Fire Department will sort through the toys and donate to 55 families in our community for Christmas.

Sunrise Spirit Week - Holiday Edition
What a fun week at Sunrise Elementary School! The school celebrated the upcoming winter break with lots of fun activities and theme days including holiday head wear day, holiday sock and sweater day, holiday character day, and pajama day.
WINNER WINNER
Congratulations to Brenda Calvin at Janitell Junior High, her name was drawn for the beautiful quilt made by Maryellen Bridges at Discovery High School. A quick shout out to Mo Maez at Facilities whose name was originally drawn but declined since she won the quilt two years ago. All proceeds will go towards prom expenses at DHS. Thank you all for your support!
Season's Greetings
The Widefield Board of Education would like to thank everyone for the amazing job you all do for the district every day.
