Dear Families,
There is nothing like the start of a new school year. It was exciting to welcome back our teachers for three days of professional learning and set up, but the highlight was having our building filled with smiles and laughter of our children. We can't wait to watch another great school year unfold.
Communication and staying up to date with school, district, and community information is key! Here are some ways to stay up to date on what is happening:
- School Newsletter- Each Saturday you should receive this email newsletter from New Lebanon School.
- Dr. Jones's Friday Email- Our superintendent sends an email to families on Friday with either a text or phone call reminding you to check your email.
- First Selectman Fred Camillo's newsletter- Once a week he sends his "Community Connections."
- Class Dojo- This is an app. that all staff use to communicate with families. Messages can be translated and you can download it right to your phone. More on the app below!
If people in your household do not get the school newsletter or Dr. Jones's email, please let the school know by calling the main office at 203-531-9139. To sign up for the newsletter from Fred Camillo, click here.
Enjoy the extra long weekend and we'll see you back on Tuesday.
Your Interim Principal & Assistant Principal,
Mrs. Eisenstein & Mrs. Vaccarelli (Mazzilli)
Have you joined your new teacher's class dojo yet? If not, please download the app and be on the lookout for information on how to join! This is the main way we communicate with families about what is happening during the school day, so you can stay connected with us! You can also use this to share any information about your child, but please remember that teachers are teaching during the day, so they will not respond to you until after school!
Reporting Absences & Changes to Dismissal Plans
If your child is going to be absent from school for any reason, please call the main office to report this absence. The main office will notify the teachers of the absence and the reason. If your child's dismissal plan changes during the day, please call the main office. The main office will notify the teachers of the dismissal change. Our teachers are teaching during the day - they are very busy!
