CELC News & Updates
Hello Creekside Families,
I hope that everyone had a nice weekend! Our daughter's volleyball team participated in their first tournament since COVID-19. They took first place! I am so proud of how they played! Our last game of the day was against a really good team. It took them three sets but they pulled it off!
A special thanks to the Stormtrooper that made a special visit to our campus on May 4th. I think some of our parents enjoyed it more than the students! He did a great job greeting students and opening up doors. Did you know that Stormtroopers speak Spanish? Who would have known that they were bilingual. Some students were surprised to hear him speaking Spanish! Thanks again to my friend from a galaxy far, far away!
Thank you to the students and parents for all of the wonderful notes and goodies for Staff Appreciation Week. Happy Nurses' Day (May 6) for all of our parents and community members who chose a career of helping others. You are truly appreciated. May 9 - May 15 is Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week. Take a moment to honor someone who took the oath to protect and serve.

This month's theme is all about reflecting on what gives our life meaning. Being a part of something bigger than ourselves or focusing on things that we value is key to our well-being. Having a faith, spirituality or being involved with a particular cause or passion can provide this sense of something bigger, or it could be relationships that you nurture and that give your life meaning. Let's take time to reflect on what we care about this month and resolve to try and keep these things at the front of our minds as society starts opening up again.dies, like unplugging from technology, reconnecting with nature and getting more sleep! Join CELC in making more meaningful choices this month.
