MAP Testing
For Kindergarten students this will be their first time. To help, KDG teachers will work with groups of KDG students to administer the assessment.
Below is the schedule for testing. To help alleviate students missing sessions and having them make-up the tests, please do your best to have your students here on those days and times.
Below is also an overview video on the assessment designed for parents.

Spelling Bee
On behalf of Millburn Elementary School, we'd like to congratulate our winner and runner-up from our school-wide Spelling Bee. Congratulations to our champion Julia Wallenfang (5th) and our runner-up Aarav Bagaria (5th). Julia will represent our school at the Sectionals Competition taking place on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020. This competition will be held at Prairie Crossing Charter School in Grayslake. If for any reason, Julia cannot be present at the competition, Aarav will take her place in representing Millburn Elementary School.
We would also like to recognize all of our Spelling Bee participants. They all worked hard and did a fantastic job! Our 4th grade participants were: Wyatt Bell-Nance, Rheya Jaganathan, Jakob Henders, Shrey Patel, and Joey Renninger. Our 5th grade participants were: Samantha Hlinak, Julia Wallenfang, Aarav Bagaria, Grant Summy, and Hadassah Migues-Gaytan. Congratulations to all!
Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King
We are inviting you to participate in a breakfast and program honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Tuesday, January 21st. A celebration breakfast will take place in the MES cafeteria starting at 6:30. Coffee, tea, juice, bagels, and a variety of other breakfast breads will be served from 6:30-7:00 AM. There will be a short program in the gym from 7:10-7:30. We will view a video of the previous week's service and learning activities from MMS and MES, and the MES students will lead us in several songs that they are practicing in music class.
Parents will be dismissed at 7:30 in order to beat the bus traffic. MMS students will remain in the gym and be dismissed directly to their buses after MES students go to class at 7:45.
PLEASE RSVP HERE so that we can get an accurate count for purchasing breakfast items.
Student Council Toiletries
