Greetings from Pastor John
Hi Church,
Happy Palm Sunday!
This week we will be looking at the Triumphal entry found in Mark Chapter 11. Jesus declares victory to His followers through His actions. We can trust what He says even when it doesn’t always look victorious around us.
See you Sunday
John

Family Discussion Starters
•How was Jesus’ teaching different than that of the scribes?
•Why did Jesus say He had come?
•How did Jesus’ miracles prove that He is the Messiah?
Because Jesus has set us free from sin and death, we recognize and embrace His authority over every area of our lives as we proclaim what Jesus has done for us.
• HEAD: In what areas of life do you need to remember the reality of God’s ability and power to save?
• HEART: In what areas of life do you need to repent and submit to the authority of our powerful, loving, and caring Savior?
• HANDS: What are some ways you will walk forward in the authority of Christ and proclaim the good news today?
VOICES from CHURCH HISTORY
“The life of a believer is a series of miracles wrought by
‘the mighty God.’ He is mighty to keep His people holy
after He has made them so, and to preserve them until
He brings to completion their spiritual existence in heaven.”
–Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892)
Update on Sophia Gotta's Education with YWAM
Due to financial and personal circumstances I was not able to attend the program in Montana. Instead, I am on my way (today 3/21/24!) to a different program in Rogaland, Norway! It is very similar to the one I was supposed to be in if I went to Montana. It is a condensed version of the program making it a three-month period instead of nine months. (As you can imagine that cut the cost down significantly.) This is still a YWAM program, and I will be getting the same training. Please pray for safe travels and that God would bring His word to life to me as I study! …and that I would make lots of good friends.
Update on Toby Smith's upcoming trip with Missionary Athletes International
Toby is kindly asking for prayers for the following:
- Healing of his knee
- Provision of $2000 for his Chicago Eagles trip this summer.
- Preparation for this trip.
- Preparation for sports ministry this summer and in the future.
Let's be faithful in prayer for our youngest missionary going onto the field soon!
Ground Floor will meet on March 28th to discuss "Mere Christianity" by CS Lewis
Please join us in the Family Room at 7pm to discuss "Mere Christianity" by CS Lewis
Our next Read Scripture Together Study begins on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024
In our next Read Scripture Together plan we'll be taking a look at the whole Bible as a grand epic, full of story, prophecy, wisdom, and more. With so much here, it’s easy to get lost. In The Big Picture #2, we will take a bird’s-eye tour of the entire Bible, introducing key people and core themes to help you see the forest before we dive into the trees.
The link for this study will be in next week's newsletter
