What is H.I.V?
HIV stands for human immunodeficiency virus. If left untreated, HIV can lead to the disease AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). H.I.V is a STD(Sexually Transmitted Disease)
How to prevent H.I.V
- Ways to prevent H.I.V's is to not share needles with people,try not to let body fluids from infected people hit your open wounds,and many more ways.
- To reduce your risk of HIV infection, use condoms correctly every time you have vaginal, oral, or anal sex. Don’t inject drugs. If you do, use only sterile injection equipment and water and never share your equipment with others.
- HIV is spread only in certain body fluids from a person infected with HIV. These fluids are blood, semen, pre-seminal fluids, rectal fluids, vaginal fluids, and breast milk.
How HIV's is spread
HIV is spread through four body fluids:
- semen
- vaginal fluid
- blood
- breast milk
How HIV's is not spread
HIV is NOT spread through:
- tears
- sweat
- feces
- urine
Difference between HIV and AIDS
While HIV is a virus that may cause an infection, AIDS is a condition or a syndrome. Being infected with HIV can lead to havingAIDS, which stands for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome.AIDS develops when HIV has caused serious damage to the immune system.
