School Counselor Connection
Greetings!
Find or create your learning space. Your learning space should be quiet and have enough room for you to set up necessary materials. Your learning space may include a table and chair so you will be able to sit up and focus. Your learning area may be sitting on the floor. Wherever your learning area may be, make sure you will be able to focus and complete your work in that space.
No distractions. To be free of distractions means no television, no cell phone, no games, and no siblings to take our attention away from our learning.
Get into a routine. It is important that you get into a daily routine as if you were actually leaving the house to attend school. Wake up on time, wash, brush your teeth, eat breakfast, and log on to your device ready to learn.
Get and stay organized. Being organized is very important. All of the materials you received from your teacher should be kept in a safe place. After using your materials for the day make sure you put them back in their designated area. You should be able to find materials when you need them.
Complete your learning tasks. Your teachers will give you information regarding assignments each week. Make sure that you complete all assignments by the given due date. If you have any questions reach out to your teachers or Mrs. Mitchell for assistance.
Be positive. Practice having a growth mindset. There may be challenges but you can do it!!
Ask questions. Please ask questions. Ask for help. We are here for you. We can figure it out together!
