OES Family Update
April 19, 2024
OES Vision: At Oregon Elementary School, we are a community that cultivates academic excellence and empowers young leaders to make a positive impact on the world
Message from the Principal
We have been very busy the past few weeks since returning from Spring Break. 3rd-6th grade students have wrapped up state mandated IAR testing in ELA and Math. I was so proud of how hard the students worked throughout the year to prepare and for their efforts during testing to take their time and do their best. Although we do value the results we get on the tests and challenge our students to perform well, we did also remind them that the test is just one piece of information and not the end all be all in terms of who they are as a student or person. We embraced the challenge that testing presents and hope to instill positive character traits such as hard work, grit, determination, and a celebration of growth as they encounter the tests.
All students in grades K-6th grade will be celebrating the growth they have made this school on the very last day of student attendance on May 23th. Families are welcome to visit the building at 10 AM to review student work samples from throughout the year, data, goal reflections, and more! We hope you can make it to see just how much your child has progressed this year!
Lastly, we are beginning to plan for the 2024-25 School Year. Please take this survey to help guide our School Improvement Efforts: https://www.leaderinme.com/s/oregon-elementary/families

Homeroom Requests 2024-25 School Year
Once again, we will provide the opportunity for families to provide feedback on their child's homeroom teacher placement for the 2024-25 School Year. We will NOT accept requests to HAVE a specific teacher, but will consider the following requests:
- For your child to NOT HAVE a specific teacher due to a previous negative experience
- Placement away from a certain individual student
Your requests will be considered , but may not be feasible due to staffing issues, special ed requirements/placements, and conflicting requests.
To make a request, fill out this form : https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfh-NqmHHBweX4G-jZfCG1rKDYhjvFD6FqNwOusYAoSzsnqdQ/viewform?usp=sf_link
