Ohio Lottery names Elida's Lehmkuhl as "Teacher of the Month"
We are proud to announce that Elida High School Intervention Specialist Kristi Lehmkuhl is a Teacher of the Month for the Ohio Lottery’s Partners in Education program.
She was nominated by one of her student's parents, Mr. Jeremy Kindle. Mr. Kindle remarked that “Mrs. Lehmkuhl encompasses so many great characteristics as a teacher. She truly cares and works hard to communicate with parents and get them active and engaged in their child’s education.” I believe Mrs. Lehmkuhl invests her time into all of the children that she teaches, and for that she has forever made a difference in their lives.”
Mrs. Lehmkuhl is very involved in the community and is a dedicated teacher who makes an impact each day as she molds the minds and hearts of her students.
For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, she will receive an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery along with a gift card.
Congratulations, Kristi! We appreciate all that you do for the students in Elida and are happy you are receiving this well deserved recognition!

Middle School student promotes "Teacher Teamwork Day!
He is one of our terrific students in Mrs. Cressman and Mrs. Jones' class.
He decided he wanted to have a "Teacher Teamwork Day" and request that all the teachers wear their Elida Pride shirts! He wrote personal notes for each of the over 40 teachers reminding them to do so. We are so proud and grateful for Jo'Vonta! He helped us celebrate Elida and we celebrate him! Thanks for being awesome, Jo'Vonta! There are more pictures of Jo'Vonta and the teachers on the school facebook page.

Are You Addicted? Social Media use Linked to Depression
A recent study by the University of Pennsylvania measured the effects of social media use on mental health, and the impact on feelings of loneliness, anxiety, depression and self-esteem.
Results of the study showed that limiting usage to 30 minutes per day can lead to significant improvements in well-being and lowering rates of depression and loneliness.
SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICTION IS REAL.
Should you or your kids detox?
If you can't remember the last time you went a whole day without checking social media, you may be addicted, and your mental health may be suffering for it. Consider a detox.
Experts suggest a break of about three months to allow dopamine levels: the reward-seeking chemical in your brain-to return to normal.
