Texting while driving. According to The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported “That in 2012 driver distraction was the cause of 18 percent of all fatal crashes – with 3,328 people killed – and crashes resulting in an injury – with 421,000 people wounded.” Texting while driving is a really important thing, we need to be careful about, if we are not careful, we will either end up killing people or putting people in critical conditions. The Pdda association states “Remain engaged through texts, emails, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media outlets to hold teens accountable for their pledge.” We will also have to be accountable for our actions, and not look at social media while driving. If people do not do this they could end up seriously hurt or even killed and we do not want that to happen. The diving tests people say “Just wait until your insurance company finds out that you have received a citation for texting and driving! If texting and driving is included in the police report for an accident or wreck for which you are held responsible, you’ll notice an even more significant rate increase. In some cases, you policy might be dropped completely.” You won’t be very happy if you have your insurance company find out you got a ticket that will lead to having to pay more for interest and you will have to pay more than you usually do. No one wants to pay more than you need to for Insurance. On the website 10 things you shouldn’t do while driving says “Texting and driving makes you twenty-three percent more likely to be involved in an accident.” This is also a big thing because if you do end up in r accident while texting, it proves that you could not wait to text or talk to whomever, it was, I mean if it were an emergency you could just pull over but if it weren't, then I think you could just wait. This would be the best option so no one would get in accidents. We should not text while driving, it’s dangerous and can cause death or even someone who is in critical condition. This is why we should not text while driving.
