From the Principal...Kristy McKnight
On Monday, Ferson teachers spent their morning digging into some new data. The growth our students have made from Fall to Winter is really something to be celebrated! Additionally, teachers spent time in their PLCs focused on a core instructional practice. Together they were learning more about and planning for the implementation of instructional strategies to support student learning. During the afternoon, D303 elementary teachers learned about new Social Studies units that have been created by our district Curriculum Development Team. Their work throughout the day truly shows their dedication to their profession and your children. Our teachers really are lifelong learners!
Stay warm and dry this weekend!

Middle School Transfer Requests
Families who wish to submit Middle School Transfer requests may do so beginning February 3. The request form will be available on the District 303 website through February 28. Families must complete a separate form for each student they want transferred. Requests are granted based on space available so siblings are not guaranteed placement. A written decision will be communicated to families before spring break.
Once the request is approved, a student may remain at that middle school throughout his or her middle school career, as long as the student resides in District 303.
Families of students granted permission to attend a school outside of their assigned attendance are responsible for their own transportation.
Students will return to their assigned attendance area high school regardless of the middle school attended.
On Friday March 14, we will be participating in the Cal's Angels Just Shave it Event.
This event raises funds to support the Cal's Angels mission. This mission is to help kiddos who are fighting cancer by granting wishes, raising awareness and funding clinical trial research.
Ferson Creek will be raising funds and honoring our very own Jimmy Schafer, who continues his battle with cancer.
Your children can participate by registering to shave their head, cutting their hair to donate or simply fundraising. We will also be selling items the week before in the foyer that your children can purchase to support this mission. Watch your email for more information and see the flyer below for event details.
