EVERY MOVE COUNTS
Session 1: Jan 10 Research and Theory
Session 2: Jan 31 Assessment
Session 3: Feb 21 Implementation of Counts
Session 4: Mar 21 Implementation of Clicks and Chat
Everyone communicates in some way. It is our challenge to recognize and respond to that communication. The Every Move Counts — Clicks and Chats Sensory-Based Approach is a sensory-based approach to communication and assistive technology for individuals with significant sensory motor differences, developmental differences, and autism.
This series includes four 3-hour sessions, discussion, and video clips of examples. Participants are encouraged to register with at least one other educator in other disciplines (i.e., TVI, PT, OT SLP, O&M, classroom teacher, etc.) to make a team of 2+. Participant teams should select a student to apply what they learn from each session and bring their experiences and questions to the subsequent session. ESC Region 11 will provide a manual to each team.
