✍🏻MPS Art Show
Dear MPS Families:
We have a lot of exciting information to share!
March is YOUTH ART MONTH!! Please check out your child’s artwork on our school’s online gallery through Artsonia. If you have not already signed up, please use the code to join our schools Artsonia database! This is a wonderful way for families to connect and to view your child’s artworks! Check out some of the over 3,000 pieces of artwork our students have created this school year so far!
MPS ART SHOW: On Friday, May 3rd from 6-8pm, MPS students will proudly present their artwork from the 2023- 2024 school year in an open house art exhibition. In the coming weeks students will be choosing their favorite artwork from this school year. We are seeking volunteers to assist with art show tasks.. Please see the sign-up genius below!
Please note the hours are flexible! Volunteer training is needed in order to volunteer in our school, please find the link on the FCPS home page and complete several days in advance. This show is not possible without the help of our wonderful parent and grandparent volunteers!
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you soon!

🎨Artsonia
Hello Families!
MPS is participating with Artsonia again this year. It has become a great way for parents and relatives to get a glimpse into the art classroom and the hard work our students continue to do on their artwork! We also use the proceeds from Artsonia as a way to further fund the supplies we use in the art classroom! Please use the following link to join and view the beautiful artwork your student has created so far this year!
Please note: if you participated last school year, you will not need to sign up again.

📢Volunteering at MPS or any FCPS School
We love having volunteers in our building to help in various ways. Teachers determine if and when volunteers are needed and share that information with families. If you will be volunteering or have been asked to volunteer, it is important to note that you must complete the FCPS volunteer training, every year.
Volunteering includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:
- Working in the school library
- Hanging art work in the hallways
- Making copies for teachers in the building
- Being a mystery reader in a classroom
- Chaperoning field trips
- Helping inside the classroom
If you would like to volunteer in any capacity you must first complete the volunteer training using the link below. Please note it can take up to 72 hours for processing. As you plan your volunteer time, be sure to leave enough time for your volunteer status to be updated.
You only need to complete this one time each school year. Volunteers will not be permitted if the training has not been completed and forwarded to MPS. Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to keep student and staff safety as our number one priority.
