Lincoln Elementary School Cafeteria
From the Cafeteria
When you're sending money in for your student’s meal account, please make sure that you put first and last name and teacher's name on the envelope. There are many children in the building with the same first name.
If you need to drop money off to the Cafe please do so by leaving in the school office. If you need to talk with the Cafe Manager, Mrs. Bolger, please call and schedule an appointment so she can be attentive to your concerns.
You can check your students balance at www.mymealtime.com and set up email notifications for low balances.
We are starting a new procedure to notify parents of students with Negative Balances. We are using a phone call system that will notify you of the negative balance on Wednesday and Sunday. Please be patient as we get the system up and running. We are hoping to eliminate the slips of paper by April 1st.
If your household or income changes at anytime, you can still fill out the Free and Reduced Application found on our Web Site. Turn completed form into the school office or Nutrition Services Office. Forms can be filled out until May 30, 2016.

Strep Throat Alert
There has been an increase in the number of students out sick with strep throat this week. Symptoms may include a red or sore throat, fever, or rash first appearing on the trunk and spreading to the rest of the body. Several cases have also been reported where the child tested positive for strep but did not have the usual symptoms. Please check your child over before sending them to school if they complain of not feeling well. A temperature of 99.6 degrees is a good indication that your child is fighting off an illness. All children should remain at home until they are fever-free for 24 hours. If your child has been diagnosed with strep throat or other communicable disease they may return to school after being on an antibiotic for at least 24 hours. Please send a doctor’s release note when your child returns to school.
Toothbrushes are a known source for germs to multiply. It is suggested that you change toothbrushes to prevent the user from re-infecting themselves if they have recently been sick. Otherwise, a good guideline to follow is to replace toothbrushes every 3 months.
You may contact me at 374-3603 if you have any questions.
