Park Terrace Elementary
April 28, 2021 Newsletter
Greetings Park Terrace Families!
I hope everyone is having a great week so far! First and foremost, I want to say thank you to the 3rd and 4th grade students and families who participated in Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs) this week. As you may know we had internet issues we had to navigate on Tuesday, but now, everything is going smoothly! As I have said so many times this year, thank you so much for your patience and flexibility as we navigate new challenges together this year.
So much in the world continues to feel heavy. Despite the challenges we’ve all faced, we continue to be proud of our students and staff as we learn and grow this year. As we approach the end of the school year, I am reminded of the words posted on Ms. Wendy Logan’s classroom door “We can do hard things!” We sure can and we have. If this year has taught us anything it is that hard work, determination, strong community support, empathy and flexibility can produce amazing results.
As we look to the end of the week, one fun thing to look forward to is spirit day! This Friday, April 30, let’s all wear our school colors or SLP gear to show all that we are proud of this year!
Have a wonderful rest of the week, Park Terrace families, and keep up the great work!

Updates for Extended Flex Learning families
Greetings,
As we move through this last week in April, I am reminded of how incredible this year has been. We have faced challenges and we have shown love and care for ourselves and others like never before. Join me in celebrating all that we have accomplished individually and in partnership by participating in a Spirit Day on Friday, April 30. I will be wearing my SLP gear on Friday. I hope your family will, too.
Having each child feel a sense of value and belonging is as important at the end of the school year as it is in the beginning. Distance learning teachers and I will continue to partner with you to make sure your child feels safe and cared for. Please reach out to me if you have questions or concerns.
As a reminder, this and future emails will share important pieces of information and updates. Please read this entire newsletter.
Take care,
Kimberly Fehringer
