Principal Selection News!
Dear North Chevy Chase Elementary School Staff, Students, and Community,
I am writing to share the exciting news that Mrs. Stacey F. Rogovoy was appointed on March 7, 2024 by the Montgomery County Board of Education as the next principal of North Chevy Chase Elementary School, effective July 1, 2024. Mrs. Rogovoy has twenty-two years of experience in
MCPS having served as teacher, assistant principal and currently the principal, at College Gardens Elementary School in Rockville.
Mrs. Rogovoy's experience includes leading a Primary Years Programme school, maintaining steady student academic achievement, and fostering a school environment and learning community where collaboration, respect and motivation are prioritized.
Mr. Matthew Johnson will continue to serve as acting principal until the end of this school year. In the coming months, Mrs. Rogovoy, Mr. Johnson and I will work together to ensure a smooth transition. Mrs. Rogovoy is looking forward to learning and growing with the students, staff, and community at North Chevy Chase Elementary School. Mrs. Rogovoy will share more about herself, goals for North Chevy Chase Elementary School, and opportunities to meet and greet her in the coming weeks.
Please join me in warmly welcoming Mrs. Stacey Rogovoy as the new principal of North Chevy Chase Elementary School.
Sincerely,
David Chia, Director
Office of School Support and Well-Being
