Scavenger Hunt Details
The PTO scavenger hunt for the kids begins TODAY and ends next Friday. This is an event occurring outside of school hours. A few parents put in a ton of time creating this fun event for our students. I encourage you and your child to participate in the scavenger hunt! The first clue will be hidden in a couple spots around the outside of the school.
Hope Valley PTO Virtual Scavenger Hunt starts TODAY, May 21. Be sure to get out in our community to participate in the hunt! Here is the link that will need to be filled out in order to receive credit for completing the scavenger hunt:https://forms.gle/ow9qLJ1sKtnzJU5C6
Details of the Scavenger Hunt:
When: May 21-28, to be done after school or on the weekend. You will have the entire week to complete the scavenger hunt.
What: HV PTO will place stickers with QR codes in outdoor locations all over Hope Valley.
How: Using a smart-phone, or similar device, scan the QR code to receive a clue to help you find the next location.
End of Year Events
I wanted to give families an update of the protocol for spring events. Students will get to experience fun events that we have typically always done at school like field day and all end of year celebrations. I am very happy to be able to bring these events back after we ended last year. The big difference is that we will not be having parent volunteers or spectators attend in person. Some of the events will be recorded or live streamed. I know this may disappoint some of you but we are still dealing with COVID. Although CDC has lifted some restrictions, local and state organizations can continue to adhere to their current plans. A large majority of adults are vaccinated but the issue is that our children have not been vaccinated. Also, vaccinated people can still transmit the virus and pass it. We have been so careful all year and I do not want to jeopardize the health and safety of students and staff. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

May and June Activities
At the last PTO meeting, there was a discussion about having some fun activities the last two months of school. Some of the ideas we have are:
- Find the bitmoji of Mr. G throughout the school.
- Hope Valley Rocks
- Outdoor learning and activities
- Scavenger Hunt – The details are above. Have fun!
- Field Day
- End of Year Class Celebrations
From your Superintendent
Here is the May E-Update from the Superintendent
As a reminder, if your child is registered for in-person learning the only time they should be accessing distance learning (DL) is if they have symptoms, are in quarantine/isolation, their class/district/school is placed on distance learning per the district/school administration or the child was registered for DL as their learning scenario.
Kindergarten Registration is open
Spread the word! Chariho Kindergarten Registration is now available to our families through digital pre-registration. Check out our digital flyer.
