The FED is the central bank of the united states. It was created by the Congress to provide the nation with a safer, more flexible, and more stable monetary and financial system. the federal reserve banks are located in Boston MA, New York NY, Philidalphea PA, Clevelend OH, Richmond VI, Atlanta GA, Chicago IL, St Louis MO, Minneapolis MI, Kansas City KA, Dallas TX, and San Fransico CA.
FOMC(Federal Open Market Commitee)
The FOMC is in charge of guiding open market operations, the buying and selling of U.S. Treasury securities to control the money supply with the goal of promoting economic growth.
Bureau of Engraving & Printing
In charge of printing money. The first dollar coin was issued in 1782. Produces 26 million notes a day, with a face value of approximately $907 million. Located in Washinton D.C.
U.S. Mint
The United States Mint began in 1792 in Philadelphia. United States mints require round-the-clock surveillance to keep the money safe. The Mint headquarters is in Washinton D.C.
