Veteran's Day
Dear Coventry Families,
As is our tradition, Coventry is planning a Veterans Day celebration to honor the 20 million veterans in our country. Typically we would do that with an all school assembly, under the circumstances our celebration will look a little different this year. Even though we cannot honor our veterans in our usual way, we still want them to know how much we appreciate their sacrifice and we want our students to know how important Veterans Day is.
We would like to invite our families to send in pictures of family members that have served or who are currently serving. We plan to honor these service members in a social media display through our school/district social media for our families and community to see. Please complete our Coventry Veterans form to share your photos with us. Due to time constraints, pictures sent after November 5th cannot be included in our slide show.
Thank you for your support!

Halloween
On Friday, October 29 Coventry will be having a Halloween Parade beginning at 2:15, weather permitting. Parents are welcome to come to Coventry to watch. We will walk the perimeter of the building, so any spot around the building would be fine. After the parade the students will come back into the building and have a party in the classroom. We are not allowing parent volunteers for this party.
Students are to bring their costumes to school in a bag and change into them before the parade begins. Costumes should be easy and quick to put on. Wearing a costume that can be put over school clothes is preferred. Students should not have their faces painted. Students should not wear costumes that are bloody, promote gore, or have weapons.
If students are walkers or car riders, they will be allowed to wear their costumes home. If they are a bus rider, they will change back into their school clothes at the end due to safety on the bus.
