April 12: Class of 2024 Scholarship application is DUE!
April 12 (seniors): If you competed in a college scholarship competition and received scholarship monies, please notify Mrs. Dole if you want to be recognized at the WHS Awards Night.
April 12 (seniors): If you are enlisting in the military and want to be recognized at the WHS Awards Night, please complete the Military Form.
April 23: There will be a test out meeting during PRIDE time for students interested in testing out of a course. The meeting is mandatory for students wanting to test out. Students must sign up by emailing Mrs. Dole by April 22.
SPRING TESTING
Testing will kick off the week we return from Spring Break. Here's what you need to know.
The PSAT 9/10 is a standardized test that is administered to freshmen and sophomores in April. This is great practice for the SAT.
The SAT is administered to juniors in April. This is a college entrance exam, as well as WHS graduation requirement. Juniors will also take the WorkKeys (paper/pencil) test and M-STEP test.
This year all test formats will be online. Students will use their iPads. Please make sure your iPad is fully charged the night before!
Each test will be administered on a separate date.
Testing dates are as follows:
April 9: SAT Testing, Juniors Aux Gym.
April 10: PSAT 10 Testing, Sophmores Aux Gym.
April 11: WorkKeys Testing, Juniors Aux Gym. This will remain paper/pencil format.
April 16: PSAT 9 Testing, Freshman Aux Gym.
April 17: M-STEP Testing, Juniors Aux Gym.
- Due to this year's online format, test days are spread out based on grade level. Thus, we will operate a normal school schedule.
- Please make sure your student comes prepared for their test day with a FULLY CHARGED IPAD.
- STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO REPORT TO CLASS AT THE COMPLETION OF TESTING.

Walking Partners
- Seniors, if you haven't already, sign up for walking partners! Sign ups inside the Main Office. See Mrs. Ewing for any questions.
IPad/Book Return
- Ipad return will be from May 15-17. Seniors can drop off thier iPad at the Technology window across from the Media Center.
- Books may be returned to the Media Center.
Caps and Gowns
- Our Jostens rep handed out Senior cap and gowns on Tuesday, March 19. Any Senior who was absent, can pick theirs up in the Main Office.
- Any Senior who has NOT ordered theirs should speak with Mrs. Ewing!
- Any Senior wishing to tour the district the day before Graduation will need their cap and gown set.
- Seniors- Please take care of your items and make sure not to lose any pieces!
Graduation:
- Practice: All Seniors MUST attend Graduation practice at 9am Thursday, May 23.
- Meet at the Football Stadium.
- THIS IS MANDATORY.
- Graduation: Ceremony begins at 7pm, Thursday, May 23.
- All Seniors meet at the Fine Arts Center cafeteria no later than 6:00 p.m. dressed and ready to go.
- Weather permitting, Graduation will be held in the Football Stadium.
- In the event of inclement weather, Graduation will be moved indoors to the Main Gym.

English Language Field Trip
On Wednesday, March 27, our English Language Program rewarded our EL students with a field trip for completing the WIDA testing. Students saw Kung Fu Panda 4 at the movie theater downtown Grand Rapids, and enjoyed lunch with the show! Below are a few pictures from the trip.
Theater
Our high school students are working hard on the upcoming Spring Play! They will be performing "The Witch's Princess". Showtimes are as follows:
- Friday, April 26th at 7pm.
- Saturday, April 27th at 3pm and 7pm.

Parents, please use this as a reminder to get your student's devices repaired, make sure they are charged, and bring them to school. If your student does not use their iPad for school, please return the device to the Media Center.
Lifeguards Needed
We are still looking for lifeguards! If interested in, please reach out to our Fitness Center Coordinator, Amy Gulch.
FUTURES
FUTURES: Facilitating Understanding Through Unique Real-life ExperienceS
FUTURES is an external/non-traditional learning experience for our students. FUTURES is designed to allow students to learn about subjects not traditionally taught during the regular school day. It takes place the last two and a half days of the school year.
Enrollment is OPEN! Please sign up if you have not already done so.

Junior/Senior Prom
Guest Approval Forms are due to the main office by April 11.
Tickets are $40 and are available online thru Revtrak or during both lunches. Tickets will be sold until Friday, April 12.
Ticket price includes museum admission, dancing, planetarium shows, beverages, snacks and dessert.

Student Handbook
Student Handbook Changes
Deliveries: No food or drink is to be delivered during school hours.
The only acceptable items are school related items and items needed for school sponsored extracurricular activities. These may be dropped off by parent/guardian as an exception to the policy.
Dress and Grooming: No hoods are allowed. Hats are acceptable as long as they adhere to the dress code. Blankets are not allowed during the school day.
