Period.ACMA
Health, education, women's rights, economics, sustainability — some of the most pressing issues facing the world today are linked to menstrual hygiene and women's lack of access to basic sanitation.
On Thursday May 23rd, after school, Period@ACMA, our Period(TM) Chapter, had their first event! It was a petition party, to gain signatures on the petition for menstrual product policy change across the Beaverton School District. The more signatures, gives us a greater advantage when we propose the policy change! Thank you Azelle Chang, Luca Berti and Aishwarya Marathe for bringing the fruit platter and marshmallows!
Tuesday, May 28th is Menstrual Hygiene Day! Period@ACMA asks and encourages all students and staff to wear RED! Celebrate the wondrous phenomenon of menstruation and advocate for equity in menstrual hygiene with Period@ACMA!
